If you want some really good books, I'd recommend the Kitchen Princess. It is a Japanese manja.  Once you finish a book in the series, you just want to find more of it because the author ( manja by Natsumi Ando and story by Miyuki Kobayashi), will leave you at one book so you feel the urge to go out and get the next book in the series. I have recently finished book #6. The story behind the book is that Najika's parents were great cooks, but then they die giving their daughter their great cooking skills. One day she almost drowns, but a mysterious boy around her age catches her. Then he gives her the most delicous flan she had ever had. So she sets off to a cooking school that resembles the picture pn the spoon that the boy had given her to eat with and then told her to keep. She looks for her Flan Prince to make him the best flan ever. I recommend that girls 8 and up read this book. The book is read japanese style, but don't worry, it didn't take me long at all to figure it out. Read it right to left and the boxes top to bottom. If it doesn't make sense, ask for help to somebody you might know.

A Girl Like Moi: The Fashion-forward Adventures of Imogene By Lisa Barham. This time, I'm typing it from what it says on the back of the book since my last review took me a little while. Well, here goes.
A girl. A dream job. A city full of possibilities. Imogene is obsessed with fashion. Combine that with her talent for trouble (aka maxing out her "emergencies only" AmEx) and suddenly she's not going to ch`ere Paris with her best friend for the summer. No, she must do the unthinkable for a stylish Greenwich girl such as herself- get a job.
Resourceful as always, Imogene works her connections and lands a dream internship at a fashion forecasting agency in Ney York. Now she's lunchinmg at Serendipity, first on line at the Barney's warehouse sale, and skoshing seats at fashion week.
But when Imogene's dream is threatened by a cute Italian boy  and one very evil intern, she questions what she really wants. And she learns that even in fashion, being true to yourself and following your dreams can go hand in hand.
I recommend this book to girls at least 10, sure guys can read it too if they like to hear about girly stuff like shopping, or if they're even like that, which is rare, so I really recommend this book to girls. Next time I promise to all you guys out there, I'll do a boy-girl book.

Next Book
Hey Twilight fans, this is another great vampire book!
I've got a recommendation for a good boy-girl book!
It's called CIrque de Freak (french for "Circus of Freaks") by Darren Shan. It's about a boy named Darren and his friend go to a freak show, and it turns out that there's a vampire there! So, Darren steals the vampire's spider, Madame Octa (his act for the show); and the spider bites his friend. Darren later meets up with the same vampire, who has an antidote for his friend who's turned ill, and is about to die. So Darren has the choice to turn into the vampire's assitant, and become a half-vampire himself to save his friend but have to leave his family and friends, or let his friend die. It's a chair gripping book, and I highly recommend it!
New Book!
There's a new book from Walter Moers, who also wrote "The 13 1/2 Lifes of Captain Bluebear. This new book is called, "The Alchemaster's Apprentice". I recently check this book out of the library. So far, it's about a crat, which is a cat who can talk and also with 2 livers. When his owner dies, a strange Alchemaster named Ghoolian brings him in on a deal. He'll feed him, just as long as the crat, Echo, will give him his fat on the next full moon. I haven't gotten very far in it, so I'll tell you more about when I do!
Hey people! This section is also in my journal-like section , but just in case you haven't read this yet....There's a new book called Dracula The Undead by Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt! It's a sequel to the original by Bram Stoker! I can't say much since I don't want to give it away, but it's about the lives of the entire gang who killed Dracula-25 YEARS LATER!! I love it and give it a 10 out of 10! I was a vampire lover YEARS before Twilight and all that jazz came out! I'll write some new stuff later!
Hey! There's a really cool teen magazine, and it's filled with poems and stories written by and for teens! It's called Cicada! I get it myself, and have been for quite a while! I love getting inspired from it! Hope to see people reading it too!
New Reads
I am such a book nerd, I swear. Reading Night in English class. About a 15-year old boy who escapes a death camp in World War 2. Really sad, so I recommend for the older readers. I've been really busy with school, so I can't read what I'd like to. I'm thinking about getting the longer- version of Dracula, since I only have the kid's version from when I was in 2nd--*ACHOO!*--'xcuse me. I scream sneeze, so that was necessary. TMI-SOPHIE! Anyhoo, yup. That's a future goal for myself. :]
Next....
I've recently picked up "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" by that dude who wrote, Pride Prejudice and Zombies. Sean-something or other. Anyways! It's about Abe walking around with an axe and killing vampires, read the title. It's helped that he's the tallest prez, so it's just a snap. So far, it's pretty good! (If you like those kind of book with a little bit of history tied into it.)

I'm still working on Abe Lincoln: vamp hunter, and so far it's really cool!! So meanwhile I suggest you pick up a book of your own and talk about it in the comment section, and I'll try to read it sooner or later, if I haven't already. (cuz trust me, i've been around the book river a couple times)
